"The Light Walker" form the Series "Symbiosis 4.0 - When Nature meets Technics"
I started the project "Symbiosis 4.0 - When Nature meets Technics " about 4 years ago. The focus here is on small creatures from nature, which are brought together with industrially produced elements (often made of stainless steel). I try to present this ‘nature versus technology’ contrast to the beholder and dissolve it photographically at the same time, so that the ultimate result of every composition is an aesthetically harmonious unity. To achieve this I use mainly the structures, shapes and colour of the selected elements which, in combining perspective, the right light, plus a minimalist presentation, yield an emotionally engaging overall piece. The clarity and order of the subjects with defined lines and shapes often play a special role in the process.
With the presented picture I want to take the viewer into a macro world beyond everyday experience, where nature and man-made technology interact in an unconventional way. Thereby, the viewer enters a visionary space where a short story is told about the living being in our technological world and where, in the end, both worlds merge into a unique entity. In this process, an image could be created that possesses a new kind of aesthetics and expression. However, the work is not only intended to be aesthetic, but also have a cognitive aspect - it help to better understand the coexistence of nature and technology and show that both worlds are inextricably connected in a symbiotic relationship, complementing and influencing each other.
