Justin Lyons of Machine Gun Kelly

For many years now I have maintained a friendship with a talented guitarist whose career has grown from playing small local Dallas gigs to stadiums and arenas around the world. His name is Justin Lyons, and I've watched with excitement as he started gaining opportunities playing for top K-Pop artists like BlackPink, then top U.S. artists like Lil Wayne, and now Machine Gun Kelly, who is nominated for a Grammy Award this year. I've been fortunate to have special access to a small part of this fascinating journey and to make photographs along the way. This image was taken from a backstage viewpoint as the performers were near the end of the show having given almost all their energy onstage.
